Anbar Ganatra represents the African Health Federation. She is a dentist by profession with a Masters in International Health and Health Management from University of New South Wales, Australia.  She currently works in Kiambu County, as the Sub County Medical Officer of Health of Gatundu South, Kenya. In this role, she is responsible for primary health care service delivery. She has actively engaged with community health volunteers, and coordinates  health promotion , disease prevention, vaccination activities, diseases surveillance, early detection of diseases and timely referral of the community to health care facilities. With the heavy focus on the curative health care sector, she has first hand experience in working with limited resources in the primary health care sector. This experience, along with her passion for primary health care motivates her to continuously advocate for increased investment in PHC.
