Hannah Faal

Hannah Faal is an ophthalmologist in Calabar, Nigeria and senior level advisor in international eye health and development for over four decades, working mainly in sub Saharan Africa and with international NGOs. Foundational experience was the implementation of a comprehensive PHC integrated national eye health programme in The Gambia which achieved a 40% reduction in the prevalence of blindness (1986-1996) Expertise includes global advocacy, all aspects of health systems, operational research, with current interest in PHC cum community health systems, sustainable development goals—Vision for everyone and climate action.
