Dr. Ishepe Mary Nandili is Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services and Nurse of Ministry of Health in Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya.
A short introduction: Mary is a Registered Nurse with Midwifery, holds a Doctorate Degree in Public health, Master of Public Health and Epidemiology degree, Basic Degree in Project Planning and Management and Diploma in Strategic Management. She has also acquired a wide range of skills in leadership and management; medical emergency; Reproductive Health; HIV and AIDS among other areas; Project design and management and Research. Has ascended progressively through the ranks as a Nurse midwife to Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services. Mary has over 20 years of experience in Leadership, Nursing and midwifery practice, education and research as well as in the field of Public health. Provides overall strategic leadership; formulates policies and strategies as well as providing advice on matters related to Nursing and midwifery profession to the government. She is a Member of various Boards and Council. During her tenure as Director, she halted a country wide Nurses strike that had lasted 150 days, also facilitated promotions of over 700 Nurses and Midwives in single year. .
