Osigbesan Tolu (Pharmacist / Advocacy and Partnerships Officer, Switzerland)

Tolulope Osigbesan is Advocacy and Partnerships Officer and Pharmacist of in Geneva, Genève, Switzerland.
A short introduction: I am a Pharmacist by training and quite passionate about health, wellness. I have worked on the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases at the national and global levels. My work supports the development of healthy populations and communities, and nations and highlights the plight of communities marginalized or handicapped by their disease burden due to lack of access to prevention and basic but essential healthcare services and Universal Health Coverage.
I am passionate about PHC; speaking up against inequity and inequalities in access to health, and educating populations about their right to health and well-being and empowering them to demand for accountability. I joined the NCD Alliance in 2019 to further develop NCD Alliance’s strategic relations with WHO, United Nations agencies and Member State missions. I am also supporting the development of NCDA membership and partnerships across civil society, private sector and academia. Before joining the NCDA, I worked for over 10 years in both the public and private health sectors in Nigeria, and her experience spans across community and hospital pharmacy practice. Tolu is completing a Master’s degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Tolulope’s interest in AfroPHC: It is a strategic platform for advancing PHC and protecting billions from poverty and avoiding premature death
