AfroPHC Continuing Professional Development (See current/past CPD meetings below)

The weekly CPD of the Johannesburg Department of Family Medicine running 3-4pm Thursday has been hosted by AfroPHC on Zoom since 2020. The audience has been ±50 weekly, comprising family physicians, registrars, medical officers, interns not only from Jhb but wider as well (even outside South Africa).

AfroPHC is now in a partnership with the World Continuing Education Alliance (WCEA) to deliver this online CPD free to their more than 500 000 members across Africa. (on App Stores). Anyone working in African PHC may join AfroPHC at NO cost and get FREE access to this CPD. WCEA will provide AfroPHC members their log in details within a week. Once you download the App from an App Store and log in you will see the webinar adverts show below the AfroPHC/WONCA Africa logo. They usually have ±1000 people in their webinars. We will also have a French speaker once a month and French-English translators all the time to ensure wide reach across Africa. All you do is click the webinar, register and receive the link via email. WCEA times your participation and CPD certificates are then issued into each person’s education tracker in WCEA after the event. You can even access the webinars after a few days and still earn CPD. Even better still there are a number of courses available on the WCEA App that you can earn CPD with.
